We’re Not the Only Ones Crying Over Our Hair
Women worry about their hair. All women worry about their hair. Whether they are suffering from thinning hair or not.
I just read an article about how women’s self-esteem is affected by their hair. (Like we didn’t know that already, right?) But I want to give you a few more details from this article:
-44% of women say they are negatively affected by a bad hair day
-About half of all women color their hair
-26% of women have cried after getting a haircut
Why did I find this article so interesting? It’s because as humans we have a tendency to hyper-focus on our own problems. When your hair is thinning, it’s easy to feel like every day is a bad hair day. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably shed more than just a few tears over your thinning hair.
But you’re not alone. Besides the millions of other women who suffer from thinning hair, even women with seemingly perfect hair are going to cry over it. Bottom line…whether your hair is long and thick or thinning and flat, nothing will ever be perfect.
What are women supposed to do? I have a few ideas:
- We could start a trend to bring back white powdered wigs
- High schools could teach a hair self-esteem class
- Celebrity activists could start an I’m-not-worried-about-what-my-hair-looks-like campaign
- We could ban brushes and encourage the sale of hair clippers
Or…we could go for a legitimate idea…try Volluma. We all do things to make our hair look better. We use hairspray, gel, dyes, and extensions. Volluma is just one more way to make imperfect hair look better
The great thing about Volluma is that it creates the appearance of perfect hair every time. It always makes your hair look thicker, is safe in any weather, and keeps you from crying. Which will actually put you in a minority of women.
