Tangled with Emotions About Thinning Hair?
Very few people will disagree when I say that Disney movies are amazing. The creativity of the Disney team is incredible. And when their last major movie, Tangled, came out, I wasn’t disappointed. But how ironic that I would love a movie that has everything to do with hair…thick hair…long hair…blond hair…magic hair.
Those of us with thinning hair spend a lot of time trying to pretend that we are happy with the way we look. But in truth, we stare in envy at women who have long, flowing hair. Like Rapunzel.
But here’s the thing about Disney movies…they always have some moral of the story. Some message that they want their viewers to get.
If you haven’t seen Tangled, I hate to spoil the storyline for you. But in order to be “free”, Rapunzel’s love interest cuts her hair off to free her from the wicked witch. And the message is? Say it with me…it’s what’s on the inside that matters. Whether she had long, flowing hair, blond hair, or short, brown hair, Rapunzel is loved by all who know her.
Shouldn’t those of us with thinning hair get the message?
One of the reasons Disney is so successful is because every little girl wants to think she’s a princess. And, if we are completely honest, all adult women want to think they are princesses as well. If a princess can lose her hair and still have all the grace and beauty of the other Disney princesses, then can’t we?
Now this is not to say that we should be satisfied with thinning hair. I never saw a Disney princess experience hair loss from pregnancy or alopecia or any other condition. But the message is the same: act like a princess and you are one.
So what kind of attributes do princesses have? They are exceptionally kind to all, even mice, tigers, and fish. They maintain an optimistic attitude even when they are forced to clean the mansion, marry against their wishes, or have only fairies as companions. They are always helpful even if they’re cleaning up after seven men, helping their fathers get ready for the fair or helping their Prince Charming kill the sea witch.
Remember that Happily Ever After only came after several challenges. You are facing a few challenges. But you can still possess princess-like attributes. And to look your best, you can always use a solution like Volluma.
